We had approached Derrick/D-Smooth to DJ our wedding as many friends & family referred us to him because of his strong reputation in the local scene. What struck us initially, was how personable & professional Derrick was after meeting him for the first time before officially hiring him. Over the wedding planning period we had come to really appreciate how easy it was to work with him – especially having to work with multiple vendors. We had a number of requests – from song selection & timing to coordinating queues with our MC’s – to which Derrick had no objections or issues following through. On our special day we can truly say that D-Smooth delivered (effortlessly it seemed) as strongly as his reputation had implied; the music that night felt tailored to ours and our guests tastes. We heard everything from Beatles to Break Beats that night. We still have a number of our guests compliment us on how great the music was that night & we never fail to give full credit to Derrick. Without a doubt, D-Smooth lands on our list for serious consideration on all private events we’re involved with in the future.
