A wedding DJ is one of the most important elements in a wedding.  The DJ can either make or break the event! Derrick, A.K.A DJ D-Smooth was one of the factors that definitely made our wedding unforgettable!

From the moment I reached out to him via email, Derrick was always prompt in responding and was always available to answer any of my questions.  From the very beginning he understood my vision as to the type of wedding I was planning for and was always open to my music choices (unlike some other Djs out there).  He saw how important the element of music was to my husband and I and our families.  Coming from a family with multiple generations, Derrick knew the importance of entertaining the young, the modern and the not-so-young elders in our family.

I wanted everyone to enjoy themselves and also hear their favourite songs playing – no matter what their age or genre they listened to.   I included a ‘Request a song’ card in our invites and Derrick followed through at playing our guests requests at the perfect time throughout the wedding without any issues.  From old school hip hip and R&B, to the classic slow jams, to the likes of EDM and a little bit top 40; he kept my guests moving and dancing! He even got my older aunts & uncles on their feet and line dancing to the classic, must-play-at-every-wedding music.  We still get so many compliments about our DJ and entertainment.

I can tell Derrick loves what he does and is passionate about it and his taste in music is phenomenal! Music is his art and you can see he puts everything into it while playing.  He knows how to work the crowd and knows exactly what perfect song to play in that right moment in time.

It was a pleasure and privilege to have DJ D-Smooth be a part of my wedding.  From start to end, he was always prompt, courteous and was always open to my wants and needs.  He shared his expertise on music and weddings but always assured me that I had full reign on the music.  I enjoyed working alongside Derrick and is 120% satisfied in his services and knowledge.  I would trust him in all aspects of entertainment & music.

I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ!
